I rather buy in Poland, and buying several litres of it costs nothing, whereas some imported breadcrumbs from USA is worth more than gold.

It is already happening, do not fret. Because Jens doesn't like to spend money on encouraging his people to create exporting industry, yes, stores have to buy exports from master race United States.

But as you see, it costs millions.

Can't you just buy some bread, let it harden up then crumble it up yourself?

Yeah man, fuck the free market! Product pricing should not factor in wages or transport ranges! Freaking capitalist trying to exploit people and stuff. I mean the wages in norway are quite low man! Products cannot cost a lot of money because people, man.

Fucking commies, get a brain. Norway has one of the highest wages in the world. See big mac index.

And why would you buy shitty imported products that cost alot? The biggest reason the cost of those products is high is because they are imported. Conscious Consumerism. Don't blame the companies that tries to sell these products. Trust me if people wouldn't want these things the companies wouldn't produce them. Sigh.

Fuck your corn syrup and breadcrumbs. Is that $12.59 for a box of motherfucking pop-tarts? I hate to break it to you, norwaybros, but those pop-tarts are $1.98 at walmart.

>>
>>9664691
Pop tarts are produced in America, and food stuff that is mad abroad is always hit by the mightiest tariff hammer on top of the transport costs.
The price of pop tarts does not reflect the price of sweets in Norway.
>>
>>9664738
Fair enough. Next time I'm at the grocery store, I'll take a picture of the norway import section, and we can do a little comparison.
>>
Then don't fucking buy pop tarts. Guess what, there's a Norwegian grocery store downtown and I don't fucking shop there because I don't need to spend all my money on Norwegian food.

What an idiot...
>>
>Digital price labels

Holy crap I wish those existed at my place when I worked retail, would solve spending hours replacing tags every saturday
>>
>>9664901
But what if you want pop-tarts, why should you be punished by your government?

I'm in the midwest USA, all the grocery stores have an import isle. Most of it is mexican imports, obviously, because of the large mexican population and their proximity to us. However even in my podunk town I can get norwegian foodstuffs, and they aren't rediculously expensive. I just don't but them because I'm not familiar with them. However, my government doesn't actively try and punish me should I want them.

I don´t get it, you´re complaining that imported food is expensive? Then don´t buy it, just buy local products, especially if it´s some shit like breadcrumbs which you could just easily make yourself
>>
>>9665069
Maybe the prices are so high because there's low demand and high shipping costs. I used to live in France and I would occasionally buy American food from a small merchant that shipped items by post to avoid taxes and the shit was still expensive. I was maybe one of a handful of people in Paris that knew what this food was, let alone cared enough to buy it.
>>
>>9665360
It's pretty easy to calculate shipping costs via fedex/ups.

Your le happy merchant was probably just ripping you off.
>>
>>9665452
