There will be some form of military action against Iran within the year, that's practically guaranteed. The US wants this to happen, and it's taking all the measures it can to produce the desired outcome. American officials were recently banned from communicating directly with Iranian officials. The sanctions situation has been ramping up, and both sides are flexing and posing. Iran is surrounded by countries with US military presence on all sides. Military action is going to happen. Probably not an all out invasion after the last two US incursions, but at the very least a blockade and selective bombing.
