I got this picture from /v/ moments ago and found out that this board is made for politically "incorrect" discussions.

Therefore i would love to see somehow meaningful discussions about why things such as feminism, principle/threat of word "law" favoring one side over another, choices if one wants to raise children or not, false rape accusations, hitting men is "fine" by women by baww not viceversa. etc. still exist and are not abolished, protested against, destroyed and favor turned to side towards men.

It's reasonable that women want equal pay for equal work, and not to be discriminated against in the work place, and to own property and shit like that.

If you call out the bullshit, people still associate feminism with these good things too and you get called a misogynist and then lots of well-intentioned people think you're a hateful bigot.

But it's changing, thanks to the Internet. Unless SOPA passes.

A few of those are basically for social hierarchy reasons. Men are -expected- to be stronger and more independent than women. Men are -expected- to be the breadwinners and to be tougher individuals. Men are -expected- to, when the time comes, even die for their country or to die for their families.

Because people expect these traits of men people look down on other men who cannot meet these expectations. Men are also less likely to report of such issues for fear of personal ridicule or fear of being demasculinized. As a man you're expected to be flexible with damages and in some cases take pain and anguish.

Many people do this even with other things. That doesn't mean they will truly outright deny these negative aspects if they are shown "down their throat", repeatedly. Lots of people needs things repeated and explained it to them thoroughly because they are biased and somehow retarded.

On the side note, i'm not even American, where this thing goes worst, but i guess someone might call it empathy and willingness to at least put positive words towards ones affected by such not rightful absurdity.

    >even die for their country or to die for their families

Just because some people are "expected" to do such actions, that doesn't necessary mean they will do it, unless fighting is matter of other circumstances and outside factors.

    >Because people expect these traits of men people look down on other men who cannot meet these expectations.

It's not always easy to go against "flow" and conformity, but it can be done. Being forced into majority just because it's majority is one of reasons why society is as it is.

    >Men are also less likely to report of such issues for fear of personal ridicule or fear of being demasculinized.
    >demasculinized

I personally don't care about this "masculinity", "feminine" etc. words since they are used as playing card against other side to back off even well through argument. I am quite of so called "feminine"/androgynous myself, and i simply don't care what others think about it. Even insecurities about such things can be overcome.

    >As a man you're expected to be flexible with damages and in some cases take pain and anguish.

Just because i'm expected to do something doesn't mean i necessary present myself as "tough", "sucking things up" and generally conform to one sided words/being manipulated by them.

You're right there. That doesn't mean people can't "break out of their shell" and see things in new light.

Feminists are very clear that the masculine stereotypes and expectations hurt men as well.

feminists are retarded. They don't want equality they want special treatment.

Most of that is exaggerated and doesn't apply to normal people

It was specifically crafted to press the buttons of the already misogynist neckbeard population of /v/

the thing you need to understand about /v/ is, they need to do what ever it takes to avoid talking about video games

    >It's reasonable that women want equal pay for equal work,

Thing is, it's almost never equal work. The reason why women get paid less than men while technically holding an identical job and position is because:
    >men don't take months of paid maternity leave
    >men generally work more hours overtime
    >men don't excuse themselves from work because of "mens' troubles"
    >men don't need to miss work once a week to find a babysitter or take care of the kids

I know that. That's why anytime I see something about wage inequality these days I laugh.

But maybe it used to be real, I don't know.

    >But maybe it used to be real, I don't know.

It used to be real. Feminism was perfectly legitimate even just 50 years ago because women really were treated unequally. Nowadays, it's all about garnering special treatment and hating on men.
    >> Anonymous 12/17/11(Sat)09:19 No.719408
You do understand OP that feminism deems certain words that are typically masculine harm women right? Case and point would be:

    Virility:
    >[noun], the state or quality of being virile; manly character, vigor, or spirit; masculinity.

They argue it causes unwanted sexual activity/pregnancy. Masculinity that is. Some brands of feminism seek to destroy/deconstruct masculinity as it "harms" society as it brings with it all manner of destructive nature. They deem, masculinity a feminist problem that must be changed. To which this poses a question:

If we deconstruct masculinity and masculine culture, what happens to femininity? What happens feminine culture and identity? If masculinity/masculine culture is not to exist, will femininity continue or will we abolish that too?
