In case you didnt know it, the Republicans are liberals and always have been. They simply govern from the possition of pragmatically building upon past successes whereas the Democrats govern more towards whatever the will of the people happens to be (which has become the will of their particular constituents of course).
The fact that the Republicans take a conservative approach in contrast to the democrats progressive approach does not mean that they are not liberals.
Using a word improperly over a period of time does not actually change its meaning, it just means that you are consistantly ignorant.

See, here's the thing. Liberals don't believe in the pursuit of happiness.

They believe the federal government should GUARANTEE you happiness. That's impossible, of course, but it doesn't stop them from trying.

So they try to steal happiness from people who have it and give it to people who don't, in the form of stealing and money and productivity from people who have it and trying to give it to people who don't in the form of money and entitlements.

Which results in people who actually do pursue their own happiness leaving for places that will actually let them and not try to steal it away from them and give it to people who are "more deserving."
