I would fucking love having a little village with thatched roof cottages on some isolated Maine peninsula, or way out on the Cape, grow produce, have cranberry bogs, apple orchards, blueberry and strawberry patches, raise sheep, goats, alpacas, and chickens, make cheese and butter, and maple syrup, dig for littlenecks, cherrystones, razors and mussels, dive for bay scallops and oysters, have some of the village's better sailors and stronger types go out on day fishing trips, maybe some lobster traps in the harbor, bow hunt for wild turkey and venison. None of the old time religion, but maybe hold Unitarian type meetings on Sunday mornings where a minister or learned lay elders could give a lecture, read a story or poem, share some of their experiences, and then spend the rest of the morning drinking coffee and catching up with friends.
