  • STOP INTERNET CENSORSHIP—TWO BILLS IN CONGRESS UNDERMINE THE PRINCIPLES OF THE WEB

American Censorship Day: November 16, 2011
On November 16th, the "Stop Online Piracy Act" will be heard in Congress. This legislation, in addition to the Senate's "Protect IP Act," completely undermine and fundamentally change the core principles of the Web. They have the potential to radically alter or shut down sites like YouTube, Flickr, 4chan, others, and all new companies that follow.
See americancensorship.org for more and help us stop these bills from becoming law.

(Site back online after DDoS—sorry about the downtime. Be sure to follow @4chan and @moot on Twitter and check status.4chan.org in the event of future downtime.)

Occupy protesters are pussies. Pic related it's Zuccotti Park right now, I was just in NY and I wanted to see the protest and I found out occupy wall street already fizzled as a movement and wasn't even there anymore lol

Reminds me of the tea party.

there's a lot more overlap in the American right than in the left

this will be good for them in the long run. it'll force them to find more practical ways to engage the system. this was more of an academic exercise than a protest anyway.

i agree they are pussies. i want them wearing guns and driving trucks at the parks. will be awesum to see police trying to get them off there then.

To call them pussies is sort of silly. I think they deserve a lot more credit than you're giving them by calling them that. All you fuckers counted them out as soon as it started snowing in New York. And yet they didn't go anywhere.

Just like how they're still out today.

The police only had the ability to do this because OWS had already died as a movement. You think they could have "evicted" them when they had more people?

Not enough people cared, the police saw that and closed shop. OWS gave up. The eviction wasn't the cause of them giving up, it's a symptom of it.

That's because it's impossible to completely eradicate a gang without kill its members. You can send the assholes to jail but once they get out they're still going to fuck shit up.

Also gang members pop out about 10 kids before they're 25 so even if they die they've got a few to take their place.

the anti-corporatism message was washed out by the message of agents with a different agenda, it's good that this ended now.

the next stage is not a disorganized, peaceful protest; it's violent, surgical opposition.

    look OWS, stop crying

the court ruled that fist amendment freedom of assembly actually only means "from 9 am to 5 pm each day."

You still have the freedom to go to zucotti park during the day, and protesting until late afternoon, and then going about your day elsewhere.

The fuss seems exaggerated to me. why is sleeping in the park needed you aren't doing anything while you are sleeping anyway.

constitutional right to assembly only means during the day and at the governor's discretion. the justice system interprets the constitution not you.
