  • STOP INTERNET CENSORSHIP—TWO BILLS IN CONGRESS UNDERMINE THE PRINCIPLES OF THE WEB

American Censorship Day: November 16, 2011
On November 16th, the "Stop Online Piracy Act" will be heard in Cogress. This legislation, in addition to the Senate's "Protect IP Act," completely undermine and fundamentally change the core principles of the Web. They have the potential to radically alter or shut down sites like YouTube, Flickr, 4chan, others, and all new companies that follow.
See americancensorship.org for more and help us stop these bills from becoming law.

(Site back online after DDoS—sorry about the downtime. Be sure to follow @4chan and @moot on Twitter and check in the event of future downtime.)

Canadian here, i was wondering if /pol/ could tell me what the whole "occupy" shit in NYC was all about. From what i've gathered it started off as a bunch of pissed off citizens being screwed by the government but then quickly became overrun by jobless hipsters demanding the rich pay for their student loans and wanting free shit in general from the rich.

I know we have these "occupy" things happening in Canada but most of them have died off because surprisingly alot of the protesters actually had jobs to get back too.

Hipsters don't like money in politics and /pol/ likes money in politics

Corporations fund political campaigns for special treatment that puts the needs of the corporations above the needs of the people which has lead to a shitty economy and big separation between the top 1% and the bottom 99%.

Any movement always drags in the wrong crowds.

Like having a white guy and black guy run for the same position, you're bound to get some racial group to defame the people they're supporting.

But specifically on the OWS crap, it's now just a bunch of people hurting business and not actually helping it.
