Universities endorse equal opportunity, they specifically go out of their way to set up general ed requirements for women's studies and "multiculturalism" (meaning non-white). They endorse programs that discuss racism (framed purely from the perspective of American racism that was white-on-black, ignoring the discrimination against Irish, Scottish, Polish, general Slavic, etc) and are becoming increasingly populated with teachers who use classes as a platform for discussing feminism where it's unrelated or simply irrelevant (as I had several while I was in college).

So if I'm misogynist and I'm a teacher, I'm never going to note women's accomplishments and I'll constantly tear women down and my students will infer that women contribute nothing of value to society. My students will see this and become little misogynists, too, who don't know anything about women's accomplishments and believe they've contributed nothing of value to society.

hidden curriculum is basically the idea that if your lecturer/professor has certain values of which he speaks all the fucking time, you, as a student, will get the impression that that view is the correct one.

let's say a criminology student is taught that crime has nothing to do with race. he will take it at face value, because if he opposes it in his work and assessment, he will get a shitty grade.
