College education is the new bubble in America because the government is pouring more and more cash into higher education, which means costs balloon exponentially because schools want that cash and have a use it or lose it outlook on the whole thing. College is increasingly pushed as the replacement for sensible things like aptitude tests, and it creates an education bubble where people go to school for a job hunting license and get shat out 20k in debt with no hope of even tanking the loss through bankruptcy and the actual competitive value of these degrees goes down more and more each semester.

The problem isn't that education costs money, or bankers, or welfare. The problem is that these kids were suckered into believing through generations of social engineering that going to college means a guaranteed job doing what you love, and that you had to go to college for your life to mean something.

The worst part is that all of society believes this. You can't say "I'm not going to college, I want to get a job first" without people shooting you a look like you're destined for a lifetime of slaving in coal mines and you are expected to have a degree just to hold an officer's rank in the military, or a high school diploma to dig ditches or be a janitor or handyman.

So they bought a product that people believe to be essential, which is in reality a piece of dogshit. Now they're paying the price and lashing out against everyone but the libfag profs working the system that created them.

You don't see many Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerbergs in Europe. Being an entrepreneur in the UK is pretty damn hard because of the legal tape. And if you do make it, well you're going to be hit hard by taxes. There's just not a lot of incentive.

It's going to be decided in these coming years whether or not America wants to remain the land of opportunity or follow the rest of western world and adopt nice costly government programs (which is bankrupting Europe but that's another subject). We'll see soon enough.

It will be interesting because neither political party wants to admit what they want to do with the country. Democrats want to lie to the public and tell you that we can get free healthcare just by taxing the rich a little more which is ridiculous. And the Republicans want to tell you that you can become rich but forget to mention that you can fail hard and be broke. Sadly most Americans will get bothered by little minor issues and get distracted by the large ones.
