The worst thing the baby boomers did was take away our right to rebel. Basically, they think they truly fixed every problem of humanity at woodstock, and have since denied us the right to rebel. "Tolerance" "Diversity" are just hippyisms that take away the right to question, right to inqiry. The thing that makes science so powerful. Constant doubt. This creates conflict, and they wanted to end all conflicts. The thing is, society isn't static. New technologies and individuals arise, and the society needs a purging of irrelevant ideas, or ones that are proven wrong. This is why society is so polarized over some of the most easiest compromises. Liberalism reached its logical conclusion and made the individual the leviathan, but we cannot live in a large society or have a civilization if everyone is the leviathan.

The point is that anyone implying we're spoiled kids who get everything handed down to us by our baby boomer parents are full of shit. They took everything for themselves, threw it into a fire and gave us the bare minimum. They then proceeded to pretend we were getting SO MUCH compared to them back when they were kids.

In some cases, it's true. I know my mom had a shit childhood. My dad though? He had it easy.

Hell, they even had it easier than me at my age. My grandpa gave them 20 000 bucks when they got married to get started, my parents want me to give them 12 000 now.

Welcome to baby boomer mentality, where they're the best humanity ever produced and everyone else is garbage.

i don't understand what you americunts all cry about. in australia we have the boomers as well, and they're gonna retire about it, but nobody is worried. all that matters is whether or not your economy has the productive capacity at their retirement to provide for them. we will, and america, having an even higher output per capita than Australia, will easily be able to handle it as well. i can guarantee you will not be paying extra taxes for it. saving up a surplus of some little pieces of paper or digits on the government's bank account isn't going to take care of the boomers; as i said only the real productive capacity of the economy at the point of retirement matters

im starting to think this is another blame thing for virgen /paul/ faggets, most of which are libertards and therefore require a specific, easy target to blame for their problems. guess it gets boring blamin the gubbament all the time, so good work on getting a bit of variety

    How old are you?

You have to prove to the state that you HAVE to work F/T to support yourself. I wrote a letter explaining my situation, my soon to be manager at Subway told me where to mail it and let me work before the permit came.
I took the work permit and GED to the college, started classes that same month.

I didn't take any classes before the GED test btw, I just paid for the exam along with documents from my highschool, waited until it was scheduled to happen, took it, passed it, got the GED - All of this in like 6 weeks.
