 10/31/11(Mon)01:31 No.137954>>137328 Oh,
please, if Hiroshima and Nagasaki are all you know about World War II
then you need to crawl back into your hole. It was amply demonstrated
during the war of the Pacific islands that the alternative would have
been to kill 90% of the population in a ground invasion of the main
islands of Japan, while losing a million of more American lives in the
process. The Japanese mindset at the time, was death before surrender,
and that included men, women and children, both military and civilian.
Even after these two cities were destroyed, many of the top military
leaders were against the Emperor's demand that they stop fighting, so
they took their own lives instead of facing surrender. |
