god, you're one of those people that thinks the Nazis were socialists?
Protip: just because it says so in the name doesn't mean it's true. The
saving from communism thing is a bit double; there were a fair amount
of people that wanted communism at that time. I don't see how you can
protect 'freedom', yet at the same time not granting people the freedom
to become communist. Also, communism has always been implemented in
societies that weren't ready (Marx said a society should first become
capitalist, then socialist, then communist). Russia and China were
pretty much feudal states when the communists came to power. Besides all
that, I'm not too sure about communism failing every time. Sure, the
USSR failed, but China is doing pretty well, and I'd rather live in Cuba
than in the USA. If you're wondering, I'm Belgian (Flemish). |
