Marriage is sacred. It is law passed down from god and has been the staple of our civilization for centuries. A vote for Ron Paul means the state will no longer be able to protect us from the viciousness and moral depravity of inter-racial marriage. Our lives will be effected in every single way imaginable if inter-racial marriage were to, hypothetically, be legalized. My children will have to grow up and see that and I don't want them to grow up in such a hedonistic world.

Marriage is not sacred. It predates Christianity. In Roman times, it was a political arrangement between families. The bride's fam had to give a dowery, representing wealth.

In Asian cultures, same idea, and it evolved without Christian influence. Just after the Roman empire turned into the Holy Roman Empire the church took over the officiating, but it remained about politics. It is only until modern times, last 200-300 years, and especially last century, that marriage has become the coming together of people who love each other.

So, when one invokes the historical establishment of marriage, I hope one realizes that most weddings that occur today would not have occured in a "traditional setting"
