Really happy with how they turned out considering I was at 3200. There were two bands on before Squarehead and the lights were bright enough for 1600. For some reason they were turned down during the last set. I spent the entire thing worrying about the high ISO in the back of my mind.

I have shot in a shady club with D3100, 35mm f/1.8 @ ISO-3200 too and it handled it suprisingly well.

Beforehand I thought I would need FX ISO-performer for that but I was wrong. The noise is visible but not distracting.. its more like fine film grain than that ugly digital noise. Its quite fine when shutter speeds are kept faster than half a second.

I wanted to take a photo of something, so I looked for the first interesting thing I could find in my room. I should've used a narrower aperture to get more of it in focus, but oh well. I was just messing around.

At first glance, this photo has her shoulder coming out of her ear. It might just be because I'm teetering on being drunk, but that's how it feels to me at least. The hair at his wrist is what causes the issue - there's nothing to lend the idea that it's her wrist and not the front of her shoulder indicates it's in fact her wrist. Either bring back a bit more shade so one can see the tendon in her wrist or bulge the hair slightly so it's obvious she has a hand behind the hair. Or relax the crop if this isn't SOOC crop.

You can see a vague hint of her wrist's tendon in the resulting photo - it's just bright as all hell and consequently not obvious.
