Thanks
for providing a more constructed answer compared to the lurkers around
here.
Thing is that I usually go to the staffs before the
convention even opens ticket sale, and explain that I come and takes
cosplay photos and convention photos, and that I'd even share the latter
with the convention organisation.
Mostly it's 'cause I'm in
Denmaaku, and there's a silly amount of dSLRs roaming the conventions
now, but none of them have Canon XXD + Batterygrips and 24-70 / 70-200mm
attached to them, so in their eyes I probably stand out with the bigger
camera and thus give the impression of being a stalker.
I even
had a badge stating I was an "official con photographer" during these
conventions, despite that I still got clobbered with fingers and
lolifucks. Usually when I don't do hit'n'run photos, I do ask - which
is what I do on 90% of my pictures, so most of the time the subject(s)
actually KNOW that I'm shooting a picture or more of them. Yet still
lolifucks wants to intervene when I'm minding my own business with one
hand on the camera and chatting with some other people.
Sometimes
I just want to yell out "BAN THE LOLIFUCKS!" at conventions here,
another reason for this - is that 99% of them cosplay Death Note or the
opposiite sex and do GirlxGirl Yaoi ... Fucking fandoms. |
