The next 4chan Q&A/PMQ session will be held on Sunday, November 18th at 8:00PM EST.

I'm also taking questions/comments/feedback/random musings via e-mail at moot@4chan.org and on AIM at MOOTCHAT. Feel free to drop me a line or say hi!

New inline extension features: Color user IDs, download by original filename, and settings export/restore. Click [Settings] in the upper-right to check 'em out.

UPDATE: The "Auto" checkbox for the auto-updater is now sticky, so if you refresh the page or come back to a thread, it will stay checked (so long as you don't close your browser—it'll reset in that case).

Sup /p/ since everyone complains about the lack of photo threads. I'm gonna post some shots from my last 3 rolls.

They are all shot on cheap drugstore 1 euro film.
(200 or 400 iso). They are all edited and don't match the real colors of the film.

not everyone reacts this badly to criticism. You shouldn't be so defensive.

Also it's not being serious to call shit, shit. It's like you know you suck so you're making as many excuses as you can to mitigate responsibility

"oh these were on cheap film"
"oh theses are just party shots"
"oh i dont even care anyways"

lol

I'm never blamed the film I just find it pretty cool that you can get decent film for 1 euro.

I'm not the same poster as >>1775893

But to point in a direction with regards to >>1775829 color. Did you have a warming filter on the lens? It looks slightly warm, but that may also be the light seeing the pinkish hue on the left side of the frame.

I think it's a fine example of deep sunrise/sunset on film if you shot this without filters.

Film reacts to filters massively. Having a warming filter in direct sun, especially during sunrise/sunset will make film images look extremely yellow.

I threw some blues and greens into the picture as an example to show you a different tone this image could take. It's not perfectly adjusted, but quickly bracketed for illustrative use.

i actually meant something different. i thought you reversed the photo using scanner software. and you didn't like it. so you adjusted the photo to your liking.
that's why i asked for
1. default colors right after scan (already reverted, not negative)
2. curves that changes default colors to "ajdusted"

i didn't realize that you reverted it manually. thank you for delivery anyway. will lookup on flickr.

With that many pictures, you probably should've started your own thread. Also, resize your photos to 1000 on the long side. Since you're claiming to be new, I'll give you a pass and actually comment.
>>1779229
The angle of the building and the fact that you cut off the bottom is distracting. Also, the color looks a bit oversaturated. Also, you need to use whatever dust removal your scanner has because these are a mess.
>>1779230
Could've been a decent shot had you not cut off the bottom of the building, again.
>>1779231
Again, step back a few feet. Give the building a little room to breath, and straight your dang camera.
>>1779232
Yet another un-level pic. Weird angle.
>>1779233
Man. You are all about jacked up angles. The idea behind this shot isn't back, but the composition is really awkward. >>1779237
Everything I've already said: cut off bottom, weird angle, not level.
>>1779238
Ken-tastic saturation. Typical, boring subject.
>>1779239
I don't hate this. The idea is fine. Obviously you know the execution sucks. Some people will rage about the centered horizon, but if you got the lines right it might have worked.
>>1779240
This is just a wreck of a shot. I feel like there might have been something interesting going on in this scene, but everything is out of focus, the exposure is screwed. There's zero thought to composition. It's a filthy scan.

Keep shooting, but try to put a lot more thought into what you're shooting. Don't just stop and think "Oooh! Pretty! I'll take a picture!" If something catches your eye, try to figure out what it is. Is it the lines? The architecture? The texture? The color? Figure out what the heck you're actually taking a picture of and then actually think through taking a picture of that thing.
>>
>>1779273
I'll do that, thanks. I have an old scanner with no dust removal, but I'll do whatever I can manually. I've noticed myself that I cut off building bottoms, this is because my lens has a fixed focal lenght and I often have my back against the wall and it's still not satisfying, but I'll do what i can to correct this. The last shot was a wreck, I know, but I wanted to hear what more there is to be said about it.
>>
Hey Lain, nice pictures. I think >>1775841 is my favorite. I don't know if you ever played the original Max Payne, but it reminds me of that game. Looks like they're getting hopped up on Valkyre and the kid on the left's motion blurred face reminds me of Jack Lupino from the movie. It's very dark. I like it.
