24mp is my largest. But I am very happy with my other 18mp or 12mp cameras.
Hell I was, and still would do just fine with 7mp.

Usually 10 MP with my 40D but when I shoot medium format I can scan them up to a good 80MP using my Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED.

Classic means Mk 1....My 1D2n is old as well (3 generations old at this point) but it makes no difference. The 5D classic is only one generation old but is Mk 1...I don't recall if other companies have a mk 1 mk 2 mk 3 body scheme so it really only applies to a Canon (though i may have heard the term used for leica as well).
