!6lD87ltadQ 01/31/12(Tue)12:54 No.1506524>>1505349 I used to work in a Target electronics department, so I feel your pain, but my only advice is this:
I'm
not afraid to say (you can contest this if you wish) that Best Buy
employees flat out lie. I've heard outrageous claims about Monster
cables, fallacious statements that a computer would be faster because
"it has RAM", and that, arbitrarily enough (without citing specific
models), "Samsung makes good TVs." Why not use a lie to genuinely help
someone though? People would ask me about the difference in megapixels,
and I'd tell them the sensor is "better". If you can present yourself
confidently, most people take your word for it. Now, I'm not really a
pro photographer, especially compared to people on this board, but I'm
not an idiot with cameras either, so as far as those customers were
concerned, I felt perfectly fine in saying that I *was* a professional
photographer (be sure to say "freelance", so as to separate it from your
obvious day job).
What's the difference between 1080i and 1080p?
The P is higher resolution (temporally, and we may know that, but they
don't need to)
I had to leave my hell hole as well, but I
thankfully found myself in a video camera rental shop soon afterward. My
ultimate suggestion is to work with what you have, and slowly make each
future job more relevant to what you want to do. |
