>>1507320 macfag mentality. the
electronics are practically the same on every dslr. there's a few
brands of sensors and Sony makes half of them along with Panasonic,
Canon and Kodak.
there's the same little intel-ARM based or MIPS
chip from Xilinx, Toshiba or Motorola on all Canon, Sony, Nikon and
Pentax hardware to process image. the storage chips are by Texas
Instruments who makes the R/W cycles on your memory is made by Intel, TI
or marvell regardless the brands. the few lcd screens are made by
Samsung, Sharp and Sony. all passive components are made either by
Philips, Panasonic or Kyocera...or all combined like if it matters. now
you know, comparing camera brands, it's exactly like saying macs aren't
PC because you'll find the exact hardware from intel/foxconn/seagate
from a macbook "pro" on a $300 HP laptop or a $500 vaio. that's the
placebo effect, the more it's expensive the better you think it is.
the
only thing that really makes the difference between brands are a few
lenses that aren't the 18-55 stock, and software on their intel/atmel
RC28F640 flash chip, which is also on your phone, car and washing
machine. |
