19 KB gearfaggy AA battery charger question Anonymous 11/12/11(Sat)08:46 No.1435807
What does /p/ use to charge their AA batteries. I've got Eneloops, Sanyo Hybrids, Energizer NiMHs, and RayoVac NiMH batteries. I use the charger that came with my Eneloop batteries, a Rayovac charger, and no-name Microprocessor charger that has multicolor LEDs that show the status of 4 separate AA or AAA charging positions.

My older batteries are showing memory problems... they charge but have greatly reduced life. I've discharged them (one of my cameras has a built-in battery discharge function) and re-charged them and that helps, but I'd like a charger that can do that reconditioning automatically and tell me when its time to give up on a battery.

Are these fancy chargers worth it:

    - La Crosse Technology Alpha Power Battery Charger, BC1000

    - Maha Powerex Wizard One MH-C9000 Advanced Battery Charger and Analyzer

    Short answer: Yes.
    Long answer: Yes, of course.

Thank you for reminding me that I had to get one for me, too.

Image related, 'Bestellung' is Nazicode for 'order'.

    1. Considering how fucking cheap batteries are nowadays, just get a couple packs of those sony's and you'll be golden.
    2. Discharge? Why? Just use them until their dead.

I have one of those battery readers you get for a goddam dollar.

$89 for a battery charger? Nigga please.

I'd rather just buy another 20 pack of Eneloop batteries for like 10 dollars when the time comes for them to die.

I have a $20 30 minute charger from pearstone and it works fine for recharging my eneloops.

It also came with 4 batteries that I use as a backup.
