    business cards /p/?

    picture/no picture?
    classic/modern?
    logo?
    local printer/online?
    do's/don't?
    anything else?

bonus: post 'em if you got 'em
    >> Anonymous 09/23/11(Fri)06:05 No.1399031
photos on one side, info on another
modern/classic: either is fine as long as the design is good
    yes
online, moo.com for variety. they cost a lot more than normal one design cards but i think it's worth it to stand out a bit more.

Hell yea bitch, I got moo.com cards too. They were like 50 cents a card but well worth it. I have a different pic on the back of each one and they have a real nice weight to them.

I've been using smartlevels for online stuff for ages since I'm on the west coast and they're based in southern cali. Pretty damn good quality for the price too, and if you live close to them you could just pick it up instead of shipping.

Mine, from moo.com as well. Should probably have gone for different photos on the back, but I liked and still like having a bunch of differently coloured cards.

are you dumb or are you just a 14 yr old? it is standard practice to have note space so people can write down stuff about you which make it easier for them to later remember who you are.

you can deduce how this is actually good for you, hopefully.

What do you mean? Ask yourself: why are you making business cards? I assume it's for the same reason most people do, you're trying to sell or promote something. What are you trying to sell and/or promote? Your awesome portrait photography? Then put your best portrait pics on them. Are you trying to get your name out there as the local go-to guy for architectural photography? Put your best architectural photos on there. I don't really see how this could be confusing.

And to be honest, if you're having so much trouble over something as simple as this, I would strongly suggest not trying to start your own photography business.

it's your portfolio but in a 3.5x2" form. Put your best stuff on there. Carry a few cards with you at all times and you have an instant portfolio to show prospective clients.

Look at that subtle off-white coloring.
    The tasteful thickness of it.
Oh, my God. It even has a watermark.

Lol I wouldn't doubt it. I swear every time I go out at least 10 people ask for my card. That, and sometimes I just toss one of two on the ground somewhere with heavy foot traffic, or on the train or something. Ever since I've been doing that I've been getting a lot more traffic.
    >> Anonymous 09/24/11(Sat)18:23 No.1399940
So there are only 3 people on /p/ with business cards?
    >> Anonymous 09/24/11(Sat)18:31 No.1399943
Question is where do you get your stuff made?

All I've ever heard is Vistaprint and moo.com

    Any other places?

    What's the preferred places?

I do, but it's just my name and contact info in helvetica on white. Once i get rid of them maybe I'll try something more creative. I used to have a more fancy one but I thought it was too busy, maybe I need to strike a balance.

I've already made 3 or 4 posts in this thread with my business card advice. It just pisses me off that I throw you a beautifully cooked steak and you sit there staring at it complaining about how hungry you are. Do you need me to cut if for you? Shall I give you a fucking handjob while I feed you your steak? Do I have to make airplane noises as I gently glide the bite-size morsels into your fucking mouth?

This isn't fucking rocket science dude. We're not going to hold your hand like you're 6.

moo.com is, to my knowledge, the only one that gives you the option of having different images/layouts/etc on one side of the card. that's why it's been mentioned multiple times. If other websites did do such a thing I'm sure they would have been mentioned too.

vistaprint is known for being insanely cheap. they are also known for having a murky side where they may or may not be giving your credit card information to third parties who then charge you and if you don't pay attention and cancel will continue to. I would not go for vistaprint because of the headache. They might have fixed things (or it might just be how they make up their cheap costs) but I'd just stay away.
