Am I the only one that actually gets this kind of photo? Oh, sure, it's shmarmy and looks dated as hell, but so what? Think of it as sincere, middle American abstract collage art, meant not to depict or look cool in and of itself, but to evoke a set of sentimental, dignified feelings about the subject. And I find a certain value in their unselfconscious presentation within a artificial, consciously photographic style.

Plus? Three pictures for the price of one print.

In all fairness to these photographers, some of these models are absolutely hideous, even when they seem to be smiling.

If you can't make it look nice, why not make it look hilarious?
