Hey there /p/, I'm a 16 year old guy that wants to start doing some entry level photography, just lake-shots, nature, things like that. I want some info on cameras, I definitely need a digital camera for online posting, but I need it to be relatively cheap under 200$, I know this is asking too much, but what is a good entry-level camera that is relatively cheap, somewhat professional (dslr or recommend something else) something that will fulfill my hobby. Thank you /p/!

    canon 10d/20d or nikon equivalent
    >> Anonymous 11/25/10(Thu)21:46 No.1078200
$200 is really low for a DSLR. If you have any sort of regular income (pcoket money or whatever) you can get a film camera & lens for $200 and spend your pocket money on film processing & scanning. If you really want to go cheap you can use B&W film and develop it at home; it's really easy to do.

Or you could save up a little longer and get a DSLR and a lens. If you're really interested in photography, get a film camera. If you really want a cool toy: wait and get a DSLR.

They all cost more than $200, even more again if you buy a lens.

Op here, I am considering the d10 because of you guys, but to tell you the truth, I need to learn about cameras, can anyone help me with that? I didn't even know you needed a lens to be quite honest. If you guys can point me in the right direction I will be very greatful <3

    >I know this is asking too much

    then why are you asking?
Or why aren't you shopping around and seeing for yourself that a dslr with a decent lens for under $200 is a bit unreasonable?

Well I am just trying to enter this field just to see how it is, and i'd like not to get a piece of shit camera, What i'm trying to say is, before I spend money out of my ass, i;d like to see if I can get the most bang for my buck and then if I am good at photography, ease myself up the spending ladder and buy something more expensive.

Get a $30 Rebel film camera and a $100 Canon 50mm 1.8. Develop film onto CD. After a few rolls, you'll know if you like the hobby. When you save up more money for a DSLR, you can get something like a Rebel XS(i) or a Canon 40D, i.e. something legitimate that you won't regret purchasing.

Don't buy a 10D. Shit is mad outdated. Can't even take EF-S lenses. You'll just wind up selling it again, at a loss, should you decide to stay with the hobby.

THERE ARE NO FUCKING DIGITAL SLR'S FOR UNDER $200, AND IF THERE WERE, THEY WOULD BE A PIECE OF SHIT.

was that plain enough for you, faggot?
