5 was the waiting simulator. 6 comes quick and has, supposedly, a lot better load times.

Anyhow, we'll have to wait and see. I can't help but be excited, though. Entirely new physics system sounds interesting (though much like "Let's cash in with a shitty GT5, then do the same millions of sales with a better GT6!")

Regarding cars, I'm happy to confess I'm a tightarse. Cars are Earth's greatest wealth-sucker. A J. Edgar Hoover for savings. On no other commodity have so many people, with so little spare cash, wasted so much money, for such pointless vanity, except maybe beer.
Cars lose more money on a daily basis than burning - or with Australia's polymer notes, "melting" - a $50 note.
Simply, the more you spend on cars, the more you blow-up.
By buying more "affordable" cars, Mrs DebtMan and I have saved probably $150,000 in 10 years. We've loved our second-hand Lasers and Commodores.

no, not really. they're just an expensive hobby for many, just like anything else. almost all hobbies are expensive and no hobby needs justification. you simply don't have much interest in cars, other than have one to get from a to b.

don't defame other people by saying their want for spending money on what they like is pointless vanity or worse. that makes you an asshole.

I'm told we should be fairly cautious about getting too excited for the release date...

I didn't have a PS3 at the time (because I was busy poorfagging it up), so I didn't hear or care, but GT5 was apparently delayed several times... Because Kaz had to hand stamp the discs with love and care.
