I got pulled over by an unmarked police car today (also my first time being pulled over by a cop). He gave me a ticket.

Reason being: "Speed exceeding the speed limit"

What should I do? And how do I detect unmarked police cars?

>>7127421 (OP)
you could at least tell us what country you're in
>>
>>7127435
This, your an idiot OP
>>
>>7127435
Canada, Quebec. Fucking French cops.
>>
Idiot.

You had perfect opportunity to kill him when he had his back turned to your car.

Now you have to pay the ticket ya dingus.
>>
How far over were you?

Less than five? Could chance it in court and argue that radar isn't 100% or that the incline of the road or some other horseshit.

Otherwise just pay early and save yourself the hassle of getting up and going to court.

The cop told me the laser tracked me speeding 30km/h over the limit which was 50km/h.
>>
you should accept the penalty because you were breaking the rules of the road.

unless it was for around 5mph over like previously stated in which you could argue inaccuracy of radar/speedometer.

as for detecting unmarked cars, you just gotta look for common cop cars in your area and know what they look like without light bars/police decals.

You could also invest in a radar detector.
>>
You deserve it for living in Quebec. I hope you get another one.

tfw living in quebec

Okay so are there any tricks to avoid getting a ticket when you're already PULLED OVER by a cop?
>>
pay your fine fucknut
>>
>>7127464
Fuck it then, just pay the fine.

>as for detecting unmarked cars, you just gotta look for common cop cars in your area and know what they look like without light bars/police decals.

This is correct. What sucks about it is that every asshole who drives an old crown vic/grand marquis/impala/etc get their fucking chuckles when they see you being all cautious around them...until they pass and you get to see that they are in fact not a cop.

Claim your speedometer is troublesome and you are trying to get it fixed.

Show him your man tits.

i met a guy at a party who has a white impala that used to be a police vehicle, it still has the spotlight and hubcaps removed, etc, etc... he also put a little blue/red flashing light in the windshield that he flips on to fuck with people at night. what a mother fucker, he was pretty chill though.
>>
>>7127486
Not how it is up in frenchland but in the prairies most of the local police departments use ghost cars.
>>
>ruining a perfectly good jdm front
why

I don't mind paying for the find (170$), what hurts me the most is muh points that was deducted.

Often the best way out is to be semi honest. If you were speeding then admit it, don't be a dickhead to them and say that you know it was wrong but you just had a long day and wanted to get home/whatever story you want.

If you're on a quiet road and be nice to them, providing you weren't driving like a complete idiot, you have a fair chance of getting away with it. Try and argue with them or keep denying you were speeding and you'll be getting tickets for other things as well.

As for spotting unmarked cars, as
>>7127465
said, learn the most common police cars, also, at least in aus, the unmarked cars still have small lights and antennas on them, usually next to the number plates or in the back window, I've been speeding several times and slowed down just when I saw the little lights on the back.
