Why are the b spec drivers so fucking rigid in their lines?

When they have 100hp up on the AI they can come out of corners quicker to overtake but they never fucking do.

Because programming racing AI is a lot of work. Polyphony can't be assed with that- the game would never have been released.

Still, it would be nice to think that even your lowest level amateur race driver would at least have enough experience to know that a proper line through a corner never includes braking on the exit... Forget passing- these guys can't even navigate the course correctly by themselves.
