turned out to be pretty popular, despite having to pay to join the
forums. Of course, it started free and then transitioned to pay, but
ultimately it was the kind of community they fostered from selectively
keeping people out that makes it what it is today.
A moderated
board, seperate from 4chan but requiring money, would probably become
tripfag heaven. Since they'll pay money and anonymous won't, chances are
4chan may become underappreciated, which has its ups and downs. Less
moderation would be good, up until moot gets sick of letting the
internet run amok for free and forces everyone over to canvas. |
