    The trouble with this kind of board is users would have to either filch or rewrite stories from mainstream news sources to start decent threads. If moot wants a news board, he should find some rss script to start new threads with any available syndication-is-okay content (rss feeds or headline link lists) at some predetermined interval. Such a bot could even be run off-site by whomever-the-fuck wanted to set it up (I imagine I could) were moot to give the ok.

    I think the better thing was something I suggested to moot several times many months ago. This board should have been /pol/itics instead of news. Any news story, no matter how benign, is going to turn into politics anyway whether naturally or through trolling.
