    >The British admiral in charge of the EU naval force countering the Somali pirate threat off the east coast of Africa has said there has been a huge surge in activity by pirates in recent weeks to try to flood the area.
    >Rear Adm Peter Hudson told the BBC that the priority for international navies now was to increase co-operation and concentrate forces to counter this new strategy.
    >But the EU acknowledges that the pirate threat in the region is "an expanding phenomenon", both in terms of level of activity and range.
    >The EU naval force (Navfor) says the rate of pirate activity it saw in March was double that of the three months from September to November 2009 - the last calm period between monsoons when pirates mostly operate.

Niggers on the high seas, as usual. Nothing to see here.

Oh, except now they're off the coast of India. This problem seems to be growing, despite increased attempts to put it down. What gives? I thought the Old Guard was good at keeping shitskins down.

Too many of our kind got soft over "collateral damage." We should just shell the living shit out of their coast until they stop.

Uh, no, the pirates are actually heroes because they got started by patrolling their waters. People were dumping toxic waste and illegally fishing in their waters. Then they realized that hijacking is more profitable...

The problem isn't "growing", it's been there for a long ass time. Thousands of ships have been attacked by pirates every year, and usually the crew are killed. The media just started to circlejerk about it once they got the whiff.

of course, if they keep insisting on attacking US Navy supply vessels, we don't even need to declare war- Maritime law say we can just blow them out of the water.

I still remember the group that tried to Hijack the Navy ship.

    Didn't that actually have torpedos?

I know that Captain Blackface didn't survive his brush with the Navy, though.

Why hijacking became a lot more profitable? Is it because the pirates live in a third world country?
    >> Anonymous 04/20/10(Tue)08:39 No.680510
They should arm merchant vessels with m2 brownings.

When you like in Somalia, cramming a scorpion up your arse could be profitable.

One could just say that a certain group of somebodies are brought up in a universal racial culture where violence (such as mugging/robbing) is praised.
