Pilots were too gun crazy, but who wouldn't be flying around in such a powerful craft, able to kill at distance with little threat of being shot at?

Watching the video, I can understand how he would see them having weapons. It's easy for us to say "that was completely obvious that they had cameras" while sitting in front of our PCs drinking soda, but they were just being cautious about their ground troops.

Now, for a semi serious discussion, this is fucking war, this shit probably happens all the time

What really strikes me though, is the fact that they are not really under direct treat, yet they act with so little regard for human life, and worse, they laugh it. They are like kids eager to play with their guns, and the only reason why don't seem to care is because they are brown.

    fuck it.

    Helicopters aren't exactly quiet machines.

But if that person was dumb enough to rush there with his kids in the van, he was probably dumb enough to ignore the sound of 2 Apache helicopters flying around in the distance.

Perhaps an expensive brand of tripod? You can't say that it is without a doubt an RPG. Seeing is not objective btw.

Seriously though, what kind of retarded insurgency stands in the middle of a courtyard to make phone calls and only brings 2 weapons to a fight? Perhaps I have an unrealistic sense of what people do in a war, but standing in an open area with "weapons" out sounds like a good way to lose.

The apaches were in the air because the humvee patrol had already taken small arms and RPG fire. They see guys they think have AK-47's and an RPG moving towards the humvees. One of them then peeks around a wall, pointing an object directly at the previously attacked humvees.

The pilots OBVIOUSLY thought he was about to fire, considering they start screaming it at the guys in the humvees, and seconds later they kill them.

Oh give me a fucking break, you are both either incredibly thick, or attempting to troll me.

If you were going to ambush someone, wouldn't you hide first? Ever heard of the element of surprise? I hear some guy invented it a few years ago.

You are no more experts at this than I am, and the paintball example was in order to prove that standing in the middle of the battlefield isn't the best way to win a war. This is true and you know it.

Go play Modern Warface 2 or some other shit military game and attempt to survive in the middle of a clearing while calling a friend. Funfact: you won't.

They weren't civilians. The were "enemy combattants"

only because they were successful. Imagine if they weren't. O.o

    Same logic:
    >Unibomber was caucasian
    >Let's start killing caucasians, they all must be terrorists
