Well not all
muslims do that but I've met some who simply wouldn't admit that the
Quran was only meant to be a book of social rules, and didn't contain
the clues for every enigma ever
It's a shame, it's a poetic text and
it's very beautiful but some people want it to be more than it really is
good
example of that : someone once told me he could prove how the Quran had
all the answers. He pointed out the word "day" was written exactly 365
times in the text, which proved it had "foreseen" everything you might
say
unfortunately for him the muslims traditionally use the lunar
calendar, and thus 365 has no interesting meaning |
