The general consensus is that because we entered WW2 so late that we lost relatively few people per capita compared to other countries, and the policies we put in place to congratulate the soldiers for winning led to them having children in droves.

With such a radically inflated standard of living, these children were all spoiled little shits who all lived "The American Dream", and had a large family with lots of money and never had a care in the world. The US was the dominant world power, and we feared nothing.

Now those spoiled kids are raising kids of their own with the same ideals their parents did, but without the means to do so. This has collapsed pretty much every system we've put in place but people (all people) are stubborn in their ways and refuse to change, believing if they hold out in their ideals that a second rise of power will come if they wait for it long enough.

Every other country has just as many retards. American retards get more publicity, because they're all over the American media. Every other country thinks Americans are full of retards, because every other country has an obsession with American media.

Because what you see on television does not actually represent the majority of the American public.

Remember: The United States is about the same size as all of Europe combined. There are many cultures, and cultures within cultures within the states. You can't make a blanket statement about the USA without sounding incredibly ignorant.

Then I realize that their choices are structurally limited to choosing always choosing the lesser evil, and that there never really was a moral high road to travel on.

Canadian here...I was not aware that Canadians and Americans do not like eachother...I have been all over the United States...I have probably been to more places in America then most Americans...and everybody has always treated me extremely well.
I dont know anybody in my country who hates Americans either. Some definately do not like the government but the general attitude seems to be that the shittiest aspect of the American government is how it fucks over Americans.

I'll put it this way, when Anaconda was still a few weeks away and we were on that longass flight over the ocean, we were all smiling, literally smiling at the prospect of getting our hands on the shitstains that fucked with our neighbors...

Americans simply seem dumb because there are a lot of them and they have more access to a mass media with a global reach then any other group of people in the world.

If anybody cared to follow my countrymen around with cameras we'd quickly see the retards fall out of the woodwork, I guarantee this.


Another factor is that with the rise of the infotainment industry political partisenship itself has become content and the media is all too happy to propagate this and the net result is that politicians can actually gain support through spewing soundbytes that mean nothing and are aimed at pandering to the lowest denominator.

But for those that care to read it is quite easy to see that America is still quite full of rational and thoughtful people from every corner of the political spectrum. They simply are not as marketable as a momma grizzly bear or a yes we can type of personality and do not enjoy the same visibility as their borderline-insane counterparts.
