If there is no point, there is no reason for life or death. Therefore there is no reason to choose either.
But if you are alive as you are right now, then an outside force has already made the deciscion for you. So logically the best option would be to continue down the path that has already been set for you. Death would be an unknown, and therefore a gamble. Logic takes no foothold in gambles.

Not really, it's just that the malaysian demographic is very varied and consists of multiple races and various religions, with the Malay Muslims being the main one. Having a secular system keeps everyone from killing each other. We even have a dual-court system (sharia and federal) to keep the muslims happy, but the sharia court only governs people of the faith and doesn't have as much authority as the federal one which is based on the common law. It governs mostly on islamic family law and wealth distribution, although there are some moral policing involved; be caught with a girl you're not married with in a room, and they will issue you a fine if you're a muslim it's kinda dumb in some way. As for democracy is concerned, we have the same ruling party for the past 50 years/11 general elections, it is a flawed one but it's making some progress.
