WE ARE GETTING A BULLET TRAIN MOTHERFUCKERS.

Just got out of class with my professor who is well connected with the project. President Obama will be in Tampa on Thursday to announce it officially. Now I can get to the greatest strip club in the world in 45 minutes instead of an hour and a half.

    FINALLY!

The US could have used high speed train travel for a long time now. I really hope this is the start of a trend.

Mons Venus in Tampa. It's definitely not the place to go if you're looking for extracurricular activities, but it's the cleanest one with the most beautiful girls. NFL players are there ALL the time.

    It's not a monorail faggot.

Texas needs to get this. Badly. HSR lines have been drawn out for decades and were supposed to be a part of Perry's bullshit TTC. Travel between the major cities here is not pretty, and Austin is hit hard as a major passthrough.

    DO WANT

    I live in a city

    I think you mean metropolis

And I"ve been in Chicago and Atlanta and Miami and never used public transit in any of those places either
    >> Anonymous 01/26/10(Tue)17:21 No.21466
    >>21423
Well it sounds like you're doing metropolises wrong then. When I visited Chicago I used trains for everything. Stayed downtown, went out to UChicago then up to Northwestern. It was all extremely convenient and all the trains were full.

I LOVE, love, love, love my car. But if I lived on a route for HSR (Building commuter rail here now...) I would totally go for the train over it.

Congrats. You spent way more money than you should have. Public transportation is a necessity for a lot of people.
