This may
spread to community colleges and low tier colleges, but it will never
fly anywhere in the upper tiers of education. This is especially so for
math, science and engineering majors. I couldn't see any of my
professors being remotely compliant with a grade inflation policy.
Honestly,
it doesn't really matter with most other degrees. No company is going
to tank because some C grade management major slipped by into a ! level
position. They'll just get fired once they lose the company some money.
If a C level engineer slips into a A level position though, they could
do some serious damage. When a C level engineer's bridge only holds 3/4
of what it's supposed to, a lot of people are gonna be pretty fucking
mad. |
