    Attention everyone else: GET READY FOR EXCITEMENT!! On Sunday we'll be rolling out our new imageboard HTML/CSS. Everything has been rewritten from the ground up and replaces code that is nearly a decade old. The designs will be 100% the same, but this should allow us and other developers to more easily modify and create add-ons for 4chan. Large threads should also render more quickly, and we also have a new mobile view for those on mobile phones. And a few other goodies.

    We expect the migration to be pretty painless, but expect some wonkiness tomorrow afternoon. The Official 4chan Chrome Extension will be updated immediately, and has a bunch of new features and runs 3x faster than the old one, so be sure to grab that in advance.

I had always heard people saying that you can't into public transportation but I always assumed it was because of crappy politicians not funding infrastructure or something like that. It seems I was wrong, you guys just have a whole mentality of "trains/buses are for impoverished niggers and spics, anyone with enough money to have a shard of self dignity would never dream of taking anything besides a car or plane".     That sounds like a good idea, and it reminds me of one I (and others) have had.

    I think a high-speed real link through Ireland and Britain would be awesome. The route I'd advise would be Belfast-Dublin-Wexford, then a tunnel to south-west Wales, then to Cardiff-Reading-London. A Northern Ireland to Scotland tunnel would be shorter, but the northern Irish Sea is pretty damn rough. Plus, more people would be going from London to Ireland, making cutting down the travel time to that city more important.

    If you ran it at the same speed as the England's under-construction HS2, you could go from London to Belfast in about two hours. Even if you add in time for stops and so on, you could make it in three hours max.

    It'd be far cheaper than a plane, more comfortable, you could get work done for the entire journey, and you could skip airports entirely. Britain and Ireland are both each others' largest trading partners, so there is demand.
