This preview is old news, and the ideas behind the movie are far older and overused.

    2/10 slightly irritated
Most of that is just irritation at this boring re-post though.

It looked stupid when we first heard about this a year ago. Still looks stupid.

But wasn't this supposed to come out around Christmastime this year? or was it always scheduled for August?

    0/10 not even mad

i'll probably go and watch this in the cinema, on the day it comes out

fun fact: JGL didn't even bother to learn how to ride fixed gear for the movie

    Shit, wrong thread, but:
Fuck this movie. Motorists are going to see ads for this and, when they see me riding my bike go, 'Look at this fuck, who do dey think dey are, that kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun' while running me over.

looks like an entertaining work of fiction which is likely to bring down all kinds of anti-bikes-in-the-fucking-road legislation.

    OP here

for my next trick, I will troll /k/ by pointing out the unrealistic properties and use of firearms in the movies!

dont apologize man it made the thread relevant
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)03:25 No.334591
I've been screaming "can't stop, got no brakes" every time I run a stop sign or red light on my fixie for years.
I've always had a front brake on it.
    This nigger stole my troll.

    Still not mad tho.

    big ol' chain locks.

some messengers in big cities use these because it takes a big ass pair of bolt cutters to break them. they're also real fucking heavy which is a reason u locks are generally better

    >"I like to ride fixed gear"

This will never replace "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" in my heart

On a related note, what was that Kevin Bacon movie about being a messenger and shit? gonna google it.

    apparently sucked

Fixed gear rider here, it made me laugh and that's about it.

    >>335208
fixed and road rider. This movie is retarded. But it won't change the bike life here. Bay Area CA is full of many types of riders. Arrogant pricks or not. Also full of asshat drivers.

I still blow by laughing at brakeless high schoolers walking their bikes up overpasses so they can bomb it on the other end of their 4 mile "workout"
    >> Anonymous 02/23/12(Thu)15:42 No.335229
    >>334537

They were probably hoping to get a bigger audience of fairweather bike-riders to try and increase bike sales.

lol movies these days. crooked cop movie with bad cop friends. Also triads trafficking immigrants!
There's no such thing as fluent english speaking asians too it seems.
    >> Anonymous 02/23/12(Thu)17:58 No.335279
Am I the only one in this thread who actually thinks this movie looks interesting?

I mean come on. when was the last time we saw a movie released by a major motion picture label centered around bikes?
    >> Anonymous 02/23/12(Thu)18:04 No.335280
the abstract is more of a rage inducer than the actual trailer--"it takes a special breed to ride the fixie" is really the most obnoxious thing i've ever read.
