  • Happy 8th Birthday, 4chan *click*

Server/posting issues should be resolved now.

Portland, OR folks: You are invited to drink beers, play arcade games, and eat delicious donuts.
The *tentative* plan is to meet up Saturday, at 10PM @ Ground Kontrol ($2 cover after 9PM, 21+ after 5PM), and grab donuts at Voodoo after midnight.
If anything changes I'll post it to @4chan on the Twitter (so follow it if you're thinking about coming).

Here, have a weird-ass eye themed paint job.

Kagogawa Line. I pass by it sometimes but very rarely take it as it's got an extremely shitty schedule and just goes out into the boonies.

Easiest and cheapest way is Train Simulator Real: The Yamanote Line. One of the best trainsims I've played.

What, you enjoy being stuffed into a train with salarymen and schoolgirls? Well, it's better than oxygen deprivation on Marunouchi-sen.

    >>306196

The sad thing is that at one point, it was, and if it had been developed instead of torn apart, it would likely be a lot better.

Yeah, I know, but I'd rather be on the comfy Haruka or Nankai Rapit (pic related), though the Gran Classe section of the new Hayabusa Shinkansen is pure swag: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1YeW4x4xCk

Yamanote isn't bad or anything, just very crowded. Naturally, everyone being polite and clean really helps. When I came back to the US, my first train ride on the MAX in Portland was as usual a filthy car full of scumbags who shower once a week.

When me and my brother were in Tokyo on Holiday we rode the Yamanote nearly everyday. A year on we start to tear up when we hear the music from the train stations. One of the happiest memories of my life.

Also what the fuck is "Kanda"? It seemed to be a no man's land between Akihabara and Ueno.
    >> Anonymous 09/27/11(Tue)06:15 No.308290
    >>308285
    The departure melodies are great.

It's Okachimachi that's the no man's land between Ueno and Akihabara. Kanda is the no man's land between Akihabara and Tokyo. (Though if you want to be serious, Akihabara is technically part of Kanda, so Akihabara is really the no man's land along with Okachimachi, which is only famous for Ameyoko)
