Holy shit, I've been to this place. OP does not lie one bit. You literally cannot walk more than five feet in the front door, and the guy that works there (owner?) is creepy as fuck.

on a side note OP, im going to berkley next wends to go to oakland ARTCC. What are some must see spots around the berkley area. Hidden gems, etc. My best friend just moved up there and is also interested in this.

Get the licence plate of said truck.

Nailing the link between the bike thieves on the street and the people fencing the property would make a huge difference, and is something the police aren't going to move on without evidence/ direct complaints.

Losing a couple thousand in bikes and parts is one thing.

Losing a couple thousand in bikes, and the truck, and possibly the places that they're storing the stolen bikes in between deliveries, is something else entirely.

unless he's knowingly buying stolen bikes or directing the theives what can the police do? Same thing with any guy who buys a bike off the classifieds. Does he have a reponsibility to make sure the bike isn't stolen?

as a retailer, yes, it is his responsibility to make sure he knows where his product is coming from. if he is ever caught filing down the serial numbers himself, then he would be in trouble
