Took a better picture of my commuter.
Yay. Over the past few weeks I've swapped to an 80MM (from a 120) Thomson stem, Specialized carbon low-rise handlebar, Stan's Flow rims laced up to my Chris King hubs, and I got a new saddle (Specialized Toupe SL... Best. Seat. Ever.)Tomorrow will be my first ride on the trails this season rather than on the road or on my fucking trainer, so I'm pretty stoked. :D
>>172024/n/ loves bsyncI actually enjoy reading him, though my situation has pretty much nothing in common with the cycling scene he usually comments on - different climate, terrain, cycling culture (none here, other than fair-weather weekend fitness riders, and people who only ride after driving their bikes up to the mountains). I see an average of 1 fellow commuter per month, and never see anybody else out from November until March, excluding unseasonably warm weekends.
>>172042what part of the country? Nice bike btw
>>172044Thanks! I'm in northern Utah. The weather tends to be pretty iffy where I am until late April-early May.
>>172046I'm in Colorado myself, we had snow two days ago, and it's snowing now, which sucks because I have to be at work early in the morning... Of course, this time of year it's not cold enough to accumulate or freeze, but it's still miserable for riding. I was going to overhaul my winter commuter this past week since it gets filthy over the cold months, am actually glad I didn't get around to it, because it got thoroughly wet and muddy on Saturday.
>>172047Ugh. I know how that is. We just had snow last week and it's going to rain Tuesday. As much I love this area, early spring and late fall make me want to move somewhere warmer and drier every year.
