When I first heard it a few years back, I was kinda like pfft whatever... then a week or two later i listened again a couple times and slowly started to like it, now years later every time I listen to it, it is increasing waves of amazement. Way to generalize a genre. Most kpop doesn't sound like that and all mainstream artists are required to sing Live on TV at some point(lip synching is looked down upon and they must have a sign on stage stating that they are lip synching). Even the group you were referring to sings live.

It's a good album. It is. But the indie hipsters would have you believe that jesus is contained somewhere in there. Really, it's just pretty good music. Enjoy it at face value; nothing more.
