!yRd8SXc/L. 11/23/09(Mon)17:28 No.6138875I just posted this in another thread, but... Helios- Unomia http://www.mediafire.com/?gmojmfz2jvz >Ambient electronic/IDM
Rachel's- Music for Egon Schiele http://www.mediafire.com/?oukyjq0wmjm >Modern classical/post-rock with violins. Light sounding.
Olafur Arnalds- Eulogy for Evolution http://www.mediafire.com/?ejyu1nzoxmm >Modern classical. String quartet and piano. Intense shit.
Eluvium- Copia http://www.mediafire.com/?mddkq5qqnli >Ambient drone/modern classical/piano stuff. One of my favorite albums ever
Brian Eno and Harold Budd- Ambient 2: The Plateaux of Mirror http://www.mediafire.com/?wikdjkiwm35 >Ambient piano from the father of Ambient music. Wonderful
Johann Johannsson- IBM 1401: A User's Manual http://www.mediafire.com/?4witx5ynjzi >Modern classical/electronic. Epic, cinematic, sweeping, sad strings.
Schumann- Toccata Op. 7, Kinderszenen Op. 15, Etc. http://www.mediafire.com/?jzt25jodzzd >Classical
piano, played by Vladimir Horowitz who is one of the best pianists of
the 20th Century. Kinderszenen is Schumann's musical ode to childhood,
so much of the music is playful and dreamlike.
Port Blue- The Airship http://www.mediafire.com/?m1mgwtohnot >Ambient
electronic/IDM. A little bit poppy, but that's to be expected
considering it's an Owl City side project. It makes me not hate Owl
City so much because he lists Max Richter, Helios, Eluvium, Philip
Glass and Boards of Canada as influences.
Peter Broderick- Home http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4mtirddnjn0 >Lo-fi
acoustic a la Iron and Wine, but Broderick comes from a classical
background so there's some really solid musicality and a bit of a post
rock instruments. It has vocals, but it's the best relaxing album in
the entire world. Sorry for the low-bitrate rip, I do have a 256kps
version but it's DRM'd. And honestly the music is sort of lo-fi so it
doesn't sound any difference. Pic Related |
