Daft Punk uses entirely different synths, their beats are unique, and their looping is well placed.

Deadmau5' synths are generic, his beats are incredibly boring, and his looping is used for filler. There are exceptions, of course, but his musical quality just doesn't warrant me to 'like' him, and his lack of originality causes me to dislike him.
