I've never liked Hip Hop in my entire life, until I checked this album out.

Then I wonder; is it my albums like this?

I want some Hip Hop albums that are tough and sounds kinda rough? You know?

One of the best albums I'd ever heard, and I wasn't a fan of anything he did before this.

Pretty much all NYC albums from that time were gritty like that. It was becoming the IT thing.

Yeah, dude. Gritty is the word! I'll check that album out!

Keep on dumping, if you have the time!

Here's another album I really liked, listened to it back in the day while I skated.

It's WestCoast, so it may not be as gritty. But it has the same themes.

That album invloves the study and mastery of Supreme Mathematics and the Supreme Alphabet. This album is laced with code talk and phases. You must know the Supreme Sciences to fully comprehend whats being said. What you hear them rapping is not what you think your hearing. Peace

I've listened to MF DOOM's whole discography, it's great.

I love Illmatic too, but I haven't checked out more of his stuff yet.

People that don't know much about Hip Hop will be quick to suggest NWA. While it is essential, I would say that this album is the quintessential must listen to West Coast Hip Hop album.
