How does /mu/ clean their vinyl?

Some of the second hand records in my collection have a waxy feel to them and gunk up my stylus if I try to play them.

I'm pretty broke at the minute so can't really blow any cash on a record cleaner, so does anyone have any tips for hand-washing vinyl?

I would not be surprised at all if small chunks of the glue stayed stuck to the record only to fuck up your stylus.

That method is generally reserved for very dirty records that aren't being adequately cleaned by normal cleaner. Google home made record cleaner. You can make it from ordinary dish soap.
