That and if the theater was empty, I can understand why there's not already a leak. For one thing, you're one person out of a small group, so you'd get noticed if you filmed the screen. For another, we're relying on probably less than a few hundred people who actually went to see the thing, depending on numbers.

Decent or not, marketing absolutely bombed on selling this movie. Commercials sparked outrage, hatred, and revulsion in the Brony community. I don't know how the parents and kids reacted, but they're probably ever less likely to go out of their way to see a movie that looks 100% idenditical to the straight-to-TV shill Disney is already releasing every fucking day.

Anything is better than the wedding.

Well, you've got to remember that the board does get visited by marketing staff from time to time. Until we see a greater consensus and something beyond hearsay, we sort of have to reserve judgement.

You know what I'm willing to concede to the movie? I think it will have some of the charm that MLP does, but overall it will lack any outstanding qualities. We might be able to say it's cute, but whether anyone would or should pay to see it depends on how precious your money is.

So are moms going to buy this dreck on DVD to distract their little girls? Is that the idea?

No, no it was not. I haven't even watched the film, nor will I ever (for I am not autisitc), but I can guarantee you that this anthromorphic furry children's film is not better than any episode of the actual show we love (except perhaps the ending of series three).

I actually wanted to see this with a friend. Riff on it if it was bad, be shocked as hell if t was good. But for some reason Kentucky doesn't have a single theater showing it. Or at least one near me.
