The candle flickers before going out. You sigh depressingly. She's missed another date. The waiter comes to the table offering a sympathetic hoof on your shoulder while handing you the bill. Ponyville has closed up for the night as it would seem. The stands are barren, shop doors are closed and locked and there doesn't seem to be any hoof traffic. As you near the other half of the town you hear the bass from vinyl's music in the distance. Slowing to a stop you contemplate if you should go over there and confront Octavia for her latest transgression. You check your watch, 10:30. If she's home no way she's asleep with that racket. Its a quick run towards the home Octavia and Vinyl share. You lift up the rock that hides the spare key and let yourself in. No one would be able to hear you knock anyway.

From the foyer you can see Vinyl mixing on the other side of house. You walk up to her but she's so into her music she doesn't notice you at all. Reaching down you press a button and that racket is finally off. Vinyl's reaction is priceless.

She seem's to have a near seizure as she frantically pushes buttons and trying to start it back up. You say her name bluntly and she jumps and spins around to you. "Dammit Anon don't do that!" Vinyl screams st you. You remind her that it isn't safe to blare her music so loud and that next time it may not be a friendly face behind her. She yes's you away and goes back to turning on her music, at a much lower volume. At this level its still easy to communicate with her. You ask her if Octavia is in and she drops the biggest bomb of the night...
