consider myself bisexual and totally agree with your statement. To be
happy with who you are and I guess a little proud is one thing but when
you join a movement for it then it just becomes excessive. It was
understandable back when gays couldn't join the military or were
persecuted from getting or holding certain jobs but now everyone is
equal so there is no point to the movements other than to give people a
false sence of superiority. And like you said if you were to be proud of
being hetero people would probably see that as some how 'messed up'
just like how you aren't allowed to be proud of being white, although
there is a month dedicated to every other so called minority of race and
sexuality and even women. Now in days if you are a white, straight,
male you are not allowed to be proud of your heritage or any aspect of
yourself in general because society views it as some how 'wrong'. It's a
complete travesty of the tolerance movement that has swept this nation
and the world since the 60'send when african americans, then women and
eventually gays decided they want to be treated equally. Equallity is
great, I welcome it with open arms but, the status quo of today is
anything but equality. Whoo, wasn't prepared for that rant myself.
