I don't hate ponychan, but I find the tone of the board (love and tolerate) and many of the folks there (autists, attention seekers and people who don't hide thier power level) not my kind of people.

I've been involved in some reasonably good discussions of the show there, but I don't go there much because the sincerity of the place is painful. I'm all for sincerity in my cartoons for little girls, but not when talking about those cartoons online with a bunch of other men. That's too creepy for me. When they get on to things like "What have you learned from FiM?" or "How has the show made you a better person?" I want to run far, far away.

Ponychan has roleplaying, waifuing and general patheticness in troves. The filtering can also get tiring and mods are somewhat sensitive.

Whereas /mlp/ has RapeTrain, Fluffy-ponies and on demand 34. However, we also have no mods.

Not so much drama here as far as I've noticed, tripfag wise, but there is a LOT of exclusion here on /mlp/ that tripfags do. When I trip, I try to include everyone but I never really know how I'm doing.

All I know is, I should take it to a fucking messenger like MSN or AIM if I want to talk about my day, or I should take it to Facebook. Dicking around is one thing, but being able to talk to people on other services instead of fagging up 4chan is the smartest idea any tripfag should do if they are not doing the following:

I. Contributing.
II. Being in need of identification.
III. Responding to someone about something.

Those are the only three conditions under which I trip, and those are the only three conditions that any other tripfag should trip under.

Even with the tripfags not excluding people, there's still exclusion due to people thinking what board they're from should fucking matter in the slightest. That's why we have MLPG, /b/read and /mlp/'s tulpa threads (fucked me up when I found out that /x/ had a mainstay here), which is utter bullshit.

Nobody should be from this board because they want to rep the board they came from.
They should be on this board because they want to contribute instead of leave it all up to chance and circlejerk faggotry.

EqD almost solely provides news. I dont know what goes around there beyond that.

After cancer treatment at 4chan and then betrayed by ponychan most of the fandom didnt have any idea where to go. Some went back to 4chan to /co/ & /b/, is what I heard. I went to ponibooru as did some others as that place became pretty chatty. Then there was Fimchan and couple others chans that slowly died.

From what I understand, EQD also contains a lot of the fandom, according to what I've read last night. So there are several "factions", the three most seemingly prominent being /mlp/, Ponychan and EQD; their prominence only notable due to my newness to the fandom and ignorance of how big everything might be.
