This isn't even the teams coolest member.

Expect a grittier take on sentai with a relatively serious atmosphere, though bear in mind it's old - so the special effects and camp suits might dampen that a bit, it's still got some pretty grim stuff going on and probably the best cast of sentai main villains ever.

Unfortunately, blue and yellow are there solely for gag material (which is a shame, since yellow could have been awesome if they'd played him as the guy that lacked skill but put in effort, but they touched upon that a few times and the rest it was just crap comedy). Some of the MOTW are crap too - expect a mix of serious episodes and some awesome MOTWs with a selection of mediocre filler episodes.

Definitely worth a watch though, the teams Black is the best sentai character ever, Red isn't bad either.

I honestly feel Zyuranger is better in most regards than Jet. Special effects had advanced a bit, mech was infinitely better, it's "main story" episodes were about as good, it's filler was imo better than jets (mostly due to the contrast between jets serious and none serious, Zyu's was a bit more balanced), I loved prettymuch every member of the Zyu team, whereas Jet Red and Black are awesome, but the other 3 are mediocre at best.

I still voted Jet above Zyu, based solely on Gai.

Maybe I'm just an anomaly, but I felt almost the opposite here. I thought Jetman balanced serious and non-serious episodes MUCH better than Zyuranger. And as for the teams, I loved everyone on Jetman, but for Zyuranger, I was only really fond of Geki, Goushi, and Burai.

Eh, you might be right. I just found Zyu had a pretty light tone most of the time, so when they did a flat out gag episode (like Goushi falling in love with bikes), it was still completely silly, but seemed to fit better than some of the Jetman filler since Jetman seemed pretty grim throughout the whole of the series, then throws you a curveball when a gag episode turns up. Not preaching my opinion of fact though, I enjoy both series immensely and struggle to consider either better than the other.

Geki is one of my favorite reds, Goushi is second only to Gai and probably my favorite member of the Zyu team, everyone loves Burai, but I also think Mei is probably one of my favorite pinks.

Dan and Boi aren't anything special, but I at least didn't dislike like them and their focus episodes were usually fun. I struggle finding any yellows I like (Raita feels like a squandered opportunity) and when it comes to blues that are fitting the "blue is the young and / or childish member of the team" character type thing, I think the only blue that's done it better is in Maskman, it's hard to do without being annoying (ie; Gao and arguably jet, though I risk invoking the wrath of Mr. Ako fan).

1) There are websites out there that already do that, hence why I like to the wiki on the image.

2) Descriptions don't give enough detail into the acting, the action that goes on, or some of the smaller premises. For example, I thought Go-Onger was going to be awesome. Traveling through different worlds, using sentient race cars? That's sounds so retarded, it's gonna be awesome! And then I watched it, and it was just plain retarded.

Again, this was my own personal experience. I know that many people enjoy Go-Onger, but the description didn't just live up to expectations. And this is actually the reason why I started this project in the first place, to give people a better idea of what to watch.

I dropped Dekaranger due to a mix of it feeling too childish and the fursuit use. Insarm didn't do shit all show. She had a forced plot in the episode she died in. That was it for her. She was terrible. What made it even worse was that Metal Alice was in the series before her and she was pretty good.

Walz Gil was bad too. He was a loud weak leader who went out like a bitch. He had a planet destroying robot but didn't even take out one city. His death was so garbage that I honestly had no idea he was dead and expected him to come back for a very long time. But he never did. He was dead. I didn't believe it. Boi is a bit bland on personality, but has his ninja stuff going for him.

Dan has more personality than Boi and Mei put together, arguably more than Goushi (as much as I love him), right off the bat he's established as the younger member of the team that's a bit immature and sometimes fucks up, but tried to fix it.

It's not a "problem" exclusive to Zyu, plenty of sentai series have far less developed characters than those, and it's never really a detraction from the enjoyment of the series.

I'm not really worried that it's going to spoil the chart or anything - Zyu has heaps going for it, but it just strikes me as a completely out of the blue criticism with little to no grounding in reality.
